Twilight Princess has many glitches & tricks you can use to get items early, access areas early (sequence breaks), or just speed things up. This page will outline only the tricks that are applicable to randomizer and will also provide a difficulty rating for those possible tricks. [https://www.zeldaspeedruns.com/tp/ ZeldaSpeedRuns (ZSR)] is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn about the glitches used in speedrunning or speedruns in general beyond what this page covers.

The logic in this game assumes the worst possible outcome to ensure you can't softlock and need to start over the entire randomizer. However in a no logic playthrough it is good to know some basic cases to obtain checks that could be softlocked. The following list will include all the worst possible cases logic looks for to keep in mind for a no logic playthrough. All the specific cases of No Logic Exclusive are mentioned in the section of each specific check itself.

==== Ordon Hidden Rusl House Rupee ====

The Rupee behind the house is blocked off with invisible Walls for Link to just get there on his own which is why it requires in glitchless either the Boomerang or the Clawshot.

<b>Glitched Way 1:</b> Shadow Crystal ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Map_Glitch Map Glitch]) and Bomb Bag <i>with access to Bomblings</i>

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

<b>Explanation:</b> Perform [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Map_Glitch Map Glitch] to disable loading Zones. When opening the Door to Rusl's House with Map Glitch active, we are afterwards unable to do anything with our inputs. However getting damaged gets us out of this state. While the explosion of a normal bomb doesn't reach us, a Bombling can go slightly further inside the wall, having just enough range to [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Damage_Boost/Bomb_Boost Damage] us on the other side, and even though there are no textures everything has ground collision. Make sure to start the Bombling from a distance and transform because wolf is faster at reaching the door before the Bombling, making this possible.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3bvmQqSZ3k

<b>Glitched Way 2:</b> Sword and Great Spin

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 1/10

<b>Explanation:</b> The hitbox of a Spin Attack can pick up items, even through walls. Great Spin has a bigger radius than a normal Spin Attack and that range is enough to reach the item.

<b>Demonstartion:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttNqqIBEmvk

<b>Glitched Way 3:</b> Sword and Bomb Bag

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ 6/10

<b>Explanation:</b> While the hitbox of a normal Spin Attack is too small to pick up the item, it can be pushed by other objects. Conveniently with precise throws, bombs can push the item far enough. Potentially it might be possible to even use up more bombs to avoid the need of a sword but no one has tried that yet. Same with using other objects, even pumpkins might be able to be used instead of bombs to push the item similarly.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeQy5bwRscI

<b>No Logic Exclusive:</b> Epona ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Epona_Out_Of_Bounds Out of Bounds]) and settings Major Cutscenes and Prologue not skipped

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4/10

<b>Explanation:</b> After freeing Talo and beating Goats 2, playing out the cutscene all the way to the end just spawns Epona inside the floor because that was her last position after the cutscene ended. Navigating [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Epona_Out_Of_Bounds Epona out of Bounds] under Bo's House to gain a little height is just enough to reach the Hidden Rupee. Normal Map Glitch Method is not possible because the entrances to Ordon Ranch and Ordon Outside Link's House are blocked off by invisible walls. Since this cutscene can only play one time, this is [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#No_Logic_Exclusive No Logic Exclusive].

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ec6WKgx2wzw

=== Ordon Spring ===

==== Ordon Gate Clip ====

The Ordon Gate is closed in the Prologue setting until you complete the Slingshot and Sword Tutorial which in turn requires a Sword and the Slingshot.

<b>Glitchted Way:</b> <i>Nothing</i>

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2/10

<b>Explanation:</b> Due to how the collision works, with enough speed in one frame, which for example the push hitbox of a rock or an [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Long_Jump_Attack_(LJA) LJA] can achieve, we can stand inside the Ordon Gate and after bonking we clip through the gate depending on the side it swings. Since Prologue is not planned to be part of Entrance rando it is not worth mentioning a way to clip back in reverse since there will never be a point this is useful during a playthrough because of the Return to Spawn option.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcgNcBjp-CM

== Faron Province ==

=== South Faron ===

==== Epona Out of Bounds ====

There are many different possibilities to achieve ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Epona_Out_Of_Bounds Epona Out of Bounds]) which is why this is listed as its own section. This will try to go over different ways that all reach the correct height in front of the Faron Cave Tunnel from where other videos start with the out of bounds movement. Conveniently this position is behind the Faron Gate so you can assume all those methods work to get behind the Gate.

<b>Glitchted Way 1:</b> Shadow Crystal ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Map_Glitch Map Glitch])

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

<b>Explanation:</b> With ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Map_Glitch Map Glitch]) you can disable all Loading Zones which helps for getting Epona Out of Bounds. Usually this would be done in the Entrance leading to Faron Field but if it is blocked off with the Closed Faron Setting, then you can still achieve the same result in the Entrance leading back to Ordon Spring. Remember that loading transitions load the next parts of a map.

<b>Demonstration (Faron Field Entrance) :</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kgjGt3rPVR4
<b>Demonstration (Ordon Spring Entrance) :</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1IP_3qTDj5Q

<b>Glitchted Way 2:</b> Fishing Rod ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Actor_Duping/Actor_Unloading Actor Duping])

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★★★☆☆☆☆☆ 5/10

<b>Explanation:</b> With Epona you can ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Actor_Duping/Actor_Unloading Actor Dupe]) the Fishing Rod 19 times. The game becomes laggy because too much memory is used in an area and it is difficult for the game to constantly update all actor positions and angles. After 19 dupes (may differ depending on version) the memory is filled. Trying to enter the next loading transition causes certain actors not to load. In this case specifically important the collision doesn't even load so this achieves ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Epona_Out_Of_Bounds Epona Out of Bounds]). Remember that loading Zones still work, though if you don't want the game to stay laggy then you can either enter another Loading Zone or Save Warp.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt_DCX6hEck

<b>Glitchted Way 3:</b> Horse Call

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ 4/10

<b>Explanation:</b> Epona has set spawning locations when you first call her on a map or when she is pretty far away. This trick abuses this system because it spawns Epona in the Tunnel that is currently unloaded and then slowly lures her further so she can be mounted. This location is the lowest so the only known way to gain height is in the Spring and climbing on a specific Root.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWb-GUwEI0s

==== Faron Escape ====

If a setting with Closed Faron is enabled, then a Midna Trigger is blocking off the way to reach the other side to Hyrule Field. The following are ways to get past that trigger without clearing Forest Temple.

<b>Glitchted Way 1:</b> ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#South_Faron Epona Out of Bounds])

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

<b>Explanation:</b> You can get behind the Trigger with ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#South_Faron Epona Out of Bounds]). Remember that if you are not over ground collision the game might crash so be careful when entering the loading zone or go off Epona beforehand. This method does not work in a Twilight State.

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNOIXiDDktQ

<b>Glitchted Way 2:</b> Sword and Boomerang [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Long_Jump_Attack_(LJA) LJA]

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

<b>Explanation:</b> The Midna Trigger is a Ground Trigger meaning with enough speed you can jump over it in the air. An [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Long_Jump_Attack_(LJA) LJA] can do that

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCb2SV8n7ws

<b>Glitchted Way 3:</b> Backslice and Magic Armor [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Moon_Boots_(MB_/_EBMB_/_BSMB_/_JSMB) Backslice Moon Boots]

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 3/10

<b>Explanation:</b> You can also go around the Midna Trigger. With a [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#Moon_Boots_(MB_/_EBMB_/_BSMB_/_JSMB) Backslice Moon Boots] you can get on top of the ledge and then roll around it

<b>Demonstration:</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CG9xuS7rQE

<b>No Logic Exclusive:</b> Epona and Setting Prologue enabled

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2/10

<b>Explanation:</b> If the Prologue is enabled, then there is a Gate instead of the Midna Trigger blocking you from reaching Hyrule Field. You can clip into this gate with Epona and clip through to the other side after rolling into it. This is [https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#No_Logic_Exclusive No Logic Exclusive] because after freeing Talo, you can't necessarily do it again if either the Settings Closed Faron or Faron Twilight are enabled.

<b>Demonstration</b> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEIA3et4on8

=== Owl Statue Sky Character ===

The Owl Statue Sky Character always requires a Dominion Rod, however getting there normally requires something to blow up the rock in front of the area the Owl Statue is present in. Remember that if the Closed Faron setting is enabled, the check is not present until you beat Forest Temple.

<b>Glitchted Way 1:</b> ([https://wiki.tprandomizer.com/index.php?title=Glitches_and_Tricks#South_Faron Epona Out of Bounds])

<b>Difficulty:</b> ★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ 2/10

Twilight Princess has many glitches & tricks you can use to get items early, access areas early (sequence breaks), or just speed things up. This page will outline only the tricks that are applicable to randomizer. ZeldaSpeedRuns (ZSR) is a great resource for anyone wanting to learn about the glitches used in speedrunning or speedruns in general beyond what this page covers.

For searching specific tricks, you should go to the ralated region's pages. Those are as of now:

WIP

Tricks listed here may be used in many situations. This list excludes glitches that have potential of breaking the randomizer like Back in Time, Early Boss Fights/Flag, stealing one or multiple Bomb Bags from Iza that cannot be randomized, or glitches that take a very long time to setup/perform like a Pickup Slide or specific Actor Duping of small objects.

No Logic Exclusive

The logic in this game assumes the worst possible outcome to ensure you can't softlock and need to start over the entire randomizer. However in a no logic playthrough it is good to know some basic cases to obtain checks that could be softlocked. The following list will include all the worst possible cases logic looks for to keep in mind for a no logic playthrough. All the specific cases of No Logic Exclusive are mentioned in the section of each specific check itself.

General Logic Decisions Explained:

  • Keys logic assumes the worst possible use. Tip: By saving the game before using a key you can check rooms behind different locks to perhaps find important items
  • Bottles always require the Lantern to use because you can't get rid of Lantern oil once it is in the Bottle without the Lantern
  • Lantern always requires a source of oil.
  • Bow always requires a source of arrows
  • Slingshot always requires a source of Slingshot seeds
  • Bombs/Water Bombs always require a source of Bombs/Water Bombs
  • Checks that require rupees always require a source of rupees even when starting with full wallet
  • Getting to different rooms that require a certain daytime always require you to be able to change time even if it is day/night from the start of the playthrough
  • Tricks that require a specific enemy are only in logic if that enemy can respawn
  • If twilights are enabled, leaving the twilight as wolf even if you don't have the Shadow Crystal to obtain wolf checks this way is not in logic

Avoid One Hit KO

Some specific scenarios require the player to take damage. If One Hit KO and Bonks do Damage settings are enabled you will even take damage and die when bonking

How to: With a Bottle you can collect a fairy or even multiple if you have more than one Bottle. Alternatively if you have money you can use the Magic Armor

Result: You avoid taking damage.

Notes:

  • Even though this is in the trick section, some checks absolutely require to bonk so it is even accounted for in glitchless logic
  • Taking damage with Magic Armor will drain all your rupees instantly and result in Drained Magic Armor, even 1 rupee is enough to avoid damage
  • You can Damage Boost and land on a freestanding heart to avoid dying even if you don't have one of the basic ways

Drained Magic Armor

How to: Wear Magic Armor after draining all of your rupees.

Result: The Magic Armor is now drained, meaning it doesn't provide invincibility anymore, instead it gives you the same heavy properties of the Iron Boots which makes it possible to sink underwater and open underwater chests.

Notes:

  • Unlike Iron Boots you don't have the magnetic properties which means you can't attach to magnetic walls/ceilings
  • Unlike Iron Boots you can't deal damage when rolling

Backslice as Sword

How to: If you do not have a Sword, you can still do the same Backslice inputs.

Result: You will perform a Backslice and can still deal damage even though you do not have a Sword which is useful if you do not have any other damaging source.

Notes:

  • Backslice will deal default damage as if you had the Ordon Sword
  • Backslice Moon Boots can be performed even without Sword

Ball and Chain Pickup

How to: Throw the Ball and Chain towards a freestanding item check

Result: The Ball and Chain picks it up the moment it hits the item

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNnX__ItjNY

Notes:

  • This does only work with freestanding checks from heart pieces/containers, bugs and hidden skills. The checks for freestanding rupees have different properties and can only be moved by the Ball and Chain but not collected

Fast Spinner

Map Glitch

How to: Open the map with dpad left/right at the same time you press Z to talk to Midna. With map open (for a consistent method, unplug controller, hold map button and Z, then plug controller in), warp somewhere. Midna should talk to you after the map closes, interrupting the warp.

Result: When a warp starts, loading zones are disabled. Having an action happen that interrupts the warp (talking to Midna, Midna jump, reading a sign, etc.) allows you to play in this "mid-warp" state.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/4BAygtsEu0U

Notes:

  • Loading zones will remain inactive until a load is completed
  • Game overing or voiding out will softlock you. Savewarping gets you out of a void softlock. If you game over, you have to reset
  • Void planes like Faron mist or Snowpeak blizzard also get disabled during this state
  • Crush voiding becomes impossible
  • Certain cutscenes that do not trigger loads immediately and instead trigger them after a certain time are still possible including warping and Howling Stones

More info: ZSR

  • If Map Warping is not unlocked when Eldin Twilight is enabled you can use a different technique called Universal Map Delay

Epona Out Of Bounds

Map Glitch Method

How to: With Map Glitch active, riding Epona past an inactive loading zone will let you go out of bounds beyond the loading zone.

Result: Epona is essentially "walking" over the Void as long as there is no floor collision under her.

Demonstration (Map Glitch Method): <missing video>

Notes:

  • Epona will keep the height you currently have before being above no ground so scaling invisible collision can often be helpful to get necessary height
  • When Epona is over any floor collision, gravity applies and Epona starts to fall including for certain void planes of Kakariko Gorge, Eldin Field and Lake Hylia Bridge Maps
  • When performing Epona Slide gravity won't apply
  • Loading other rooms and keeping Epona out of Bounds can only be done by touching collision of adjacent rooms. Touching floor from above Epona will load the next room without falling in bounds
  • With Map Glitch Method loading zones are still disabled so to get to loading zones you can park Epona inside ground and then warp or save warp so you loading zones are back again when riding Epona out of Bounds. Parking Epona near Enemies can often result in her escaping because of rearing
  • Riding Epona into a loading zone from out of bounds can often crash the game
  • Riding Epona into a loading zone to a map she isn't part of the actor list will result in a crash (infinite blackscreen)

Epona Seam Clip Method

How to: By riding Epona into a Seam with specific speed, angle and Epona animation frame you can clip through. Tip: While this method doesn't require the Shadow Crystal it is very hard to perform since no 100% consistent setups exist so if you can it is advised to use the Map Glitch Method instead.

Demonstration (Seam Clip Method Lanayru): <missing video> Demonstration (Seam Clip Method Faron): <missing video>

Notes:

  • Notes above apply
  • For Epona Seam Clip Method there are currently only 2 known spots to use it currently which are in Lanayru Field/Hyrule Field North and Faron Field/Hyrule Field South
  • Loading zones for this method stay enabled so parking is not necessary

Reverse Door Adventure (RDA / Storage)

How to: With Map Glitch active, pull out a one-handed item and then go through door with that item in hand.

Result: Your hitbox will be reduced until your next item/load, allowing you to clip through certain walls and walk up steep slopes.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/8YQNRAXiROk

Notes:

  • One handed items that can be used to perform this are Sword, Bottle, Boomerang, Clawshot, Lantern, Bow, Slingshot and Dominion Rod
  • Grabbing an item resets your hitbox
  • Backslice can slightly go up the walls and then can be combined with Backslice Moon Boots for even more height
  • This can be combined with Epona Slide to go up walls even further than may normally possible with rolling
  • This can be combined with Damage Boost from a bulblin archer to scale up wall pretty much as high as they can shoot

Long Jump Attack (LJA)

How to: Throw the Boomerang over a void or high ground. Press B to pull out Sword. Press A to jump attack when the Boomerang is over the void/high ground.

Result: You get extended distance to your jump attack.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/c48_ZTD2JM0

Notes:

  • The speed you get from LJAs is greater the higher the platform compared to Link's position is and grants max speed if the Boomerang is above a void
  • Some LJAs work by having the Boomerang over certain objects (eg. chest)
  • Enemy LJAs are also a thing; see https://youtu.be/gIsV7Hg_E2k
  • Moon Boots does increase the height you get from LJAs but as a result you loose a lot of horizontal distance

More info: ZSR

Jump Strike Long Jump Attack (JSLJA)

How to: Similar to Long Jump Attack target many far apart places with the Boomerang and throw it. Press B to pull out Sword. Press and Hold A to charge the Jump Strike. Release A the moment the Boomerang is over a void or high ground.

Result: You get extended distance to your Jump Strike.

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmVNntofUEU

Notes:

  • Unlike LJAs the direction you are going to is depending on Link's facing direction before throwing the Boomerang and not the Boomerang itself
  • JSLJAs do not have sword recoil
  • Moon Boots does increase the height you get from JSLJAs but as a result you loose a lot of horizontal distance

Superjump

How to: Do a Midna Charge by holding B and target an enemy with it.

Result: By abusing the enemies position you can gain a lot of height and a lot of distance which is called a Superjump.

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UohD4UMC2_Y

Notes:

  • Since this technique requires the Midna Charge, you have to beat Midna's Desperate Hour or have it skipped to use it outside of twilights
  • There is a maximum height and distance Link can gain with a Superjump so it is not infinite, around ~825 units
  • You can lure enemies to a favorable position using the Boomerang, the enemies path is often then consistent since it is trying to go back to its home
  • While the Boomerang is flying you can not call Midna to transform and use a Superjump while the enemy is still inside the Boomerang. However forcing a transform using the Mist in Palace of Twilight, this can be achieved
  • This technique is only part of logic if the enemy you are abusing for a Superjump can respawn, otherwise this counts as No Logic Exclusive.

Moon Boots (MB / EBMB / BSMB / JSMB)

How to: When performing a jump attack or Jump Strike with Iron Boots or Drained Magic Armor on, unequip Iron Boots in item wheel or Magic Armor within the first 2 frames after Link's feet have left the ground. Can be done with jump attack, Ending Blow, and Jump Strike. Can also be done with Backslice but only with the Drained Magic Armor.

Result: You gain more height than usual.

Notes:

  • Logically you need 3 items in your item wheel to perform Moon Boots that use the Iron Boots since you need to unequip them. In a no logic you could do it with 2 items in your item wheel
  • Different types of jumps give different height. Ending Blow gives the most height by far, with Backslice (with Magic Armor) in second, followed by Jump Strike and then jump attack
  • Can get additional height by getting hit by a bomb blast at the peak of your jump
  • Useful data with graphs for visualization of moon boots height can be found here (thanks to: Simikins for plotting it, JW for all frame data)

Epona Slide

How to: Hold R while riding Epona to make Link crouch. Let go of R and press A on the next frame to dismount Epona.

Result: Epona should keep moving forward while Link dismounts her you'll get a super slide starting at the speed Epona was at when you dismounted her.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/6Ggr7WtV1YM

Air Refill

Water Bombs Method

How to: While at the bottom of a body of water with Iron Boots/Magic Armor on, pull out a Water Bomb and quickly open the item wheel/pause before Link holds the bomb above his head. Unequip Iron Boots/Magic Armor. Continue moving with the bomb in Link's hands or he'll drop it. When you're ready to get an air refill, simply press A to drop the bomb.

Result: You will be able to swim with water bombs, which allows you to get unlimited air refills; essentially infinite air as long as you have a Water Bomb supply.

Demonstration: https://youtu.be/Fterq72hP9Y

Notes:

  • Pressing A immediately upon pulling it out results in Rocket Link, where you will shoot up to the surface of the water in one frame. Tip: Don't do this when fighting Morpheel without Zora Armor

More info: ZSR

Quick Transform Method

How to: While swimming underwater press the button combination to Quick Transform underwater.

Result: After transforming your air meter will be refilled. You do not have a supply to keep in mind unlike the Water Bombs Method giving you the ability to air refill infinitely.

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Cr3_gmLQHI

Notes:

  • Quick Transforming is only possible if the setting of it is enabled.
  • Quick Transforming while standing on ground results in Rocket Link, where you will shoot up to the surface of the water in one frame.

Step Clipping

WIP

Vine Clipping

How to: Facing Vines, placing a Bomb behind you and climbing that vine.

Result: You clip out of bounds on the other side of the wall.

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y2qwWwnvkNQ

More info: ZSR

Normal Bombs Underwater

How to: Pull out a normal bomb frame perfectly when entering water

Result: The bomb goes through the water, making it possible to blow up boulders underwater

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0H2vj6JHTY4

Notes:

  • Useful especially if you do not have access to Water Bombs
  • Trying to pick up a normal bomb that is already underwater makes it disappear immediately

More info: ZSR

Displacement Clipping

How to: Displace Link in a single frame inside the seam of a wall (about 34 units)

Result: Link will now stand inside the wall. From here it becomes much easier to go through the wall with these following conditions:

  • clip under the wall with the ceiling below the wall of the object
  • clip through with a short pickup slide like from a rupee (requires setting minor cutscenes unskipped)
  • clip through with a clawshot target on the other side of the wall

Demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ciVg2DDzbmg as example with a door object

Notes:

  • Displacement Clips are very precise. There are usually a few general setups that can be used on most walls to get inside a wall seam but if those methods are not viable, people can use certain tools and calculations to find human viable setups.
  • General Setups usually don't work on walls that are not cardinally aligned
  • Not all walls have seams
